The Element Unveils New Key Stage 2 Provision for Primary School Children

The Element, a bespoke learning facility and part of the Holy Family Catholic Multi Academy Trust, is proud to announce the opening of its brand-new designated provision designed specifically for Key Stage 2 primary school children.

Catering to the needs of vulnerable children and those facing barriers to mainstream education, The Element uses targeted interventions and creative practices to create an environment where every child has the opportunity to thrive.

Situated in Wallasey, the new provision offers a unique 12-week programme focused on nurturing social, emotional, and mental health development. By combining innovative approaches with a strong ethos of care, the programme empowers children to unlock their full potential.

What Makes This Provision Unique?

At the heart of the provision are three guiding principles: relational practice, kindness, and Rhythmic Movement Therapy (RMT). RMT is an innovative approach that addresses underlying challenges by stimulating neural pathways, promoting emotional balance, readiness to learn, and physical ease.

This holistic approach is particularly beneficial for children with ADHD, autism, learning difficulties, and emotional or behavioural challenges. By addressing these needs at their root, The Element provides an inclusive, supportive environment where children can flourish.

A Mission to Empower and Inspire

The team at The Element bring extensive experience in both mainstream and alternative education. Their mission is to foster growth and empower young people with the tools they need to succeed.

Paul McColgan, Director of Inclusion for the Holy Family Catholic Multi Academy Trust, expressed his excitement about the new provision:

“We are incredibly proud to open our newest designated provision for primary school children. It’s a space where every child is empowered to thrive. Our approach nurtures emotional balance, resilience, and personal growth, whilst providing support and meaningful connections.”

Paul also emphasised the importance of small class sizes and a high adult-to-child ratio to ensure each child receives the attention and care they deserve.

Transforming Challenges into Opportunities

Andrea Deans, Head of The Element, highlighted the impact of the programme:

“At The Element, we turn challenges into opportunities through tailored interventions and relational support. Our primary goal is to ensure each child who comes through our programme builds confidence and resilience and feels empowered to thrive.”

She added:

“We are delighted to launch our Key Stage 2 designated provision and bring our bespoke support to children, ensuring they develop the tools for long-term success.”

Building Strong Foundations for the Future

With increasing evidence showing the effectiveness of therapeutic approaches for children with diverse needs, The Element is at the forefront of innovative education that prioritises well-being and personal growth. This new provision ensures that children are not only supported academically but are also given the tools to succeed emotionally and socially.
